Welcome to “Read Through the Bible” – or “RTB” for short – a small group ministry at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church in Versailles, Kentucky. What began as a few people who wanted to read the Bible together – the entire Bible in just one year – has grown into the biggest “small” group at St. Andrew’s. Now several years old, the group numbers a couple dozen. RTB meets every month or so after church to discuss what we’re discovering in the Scriptures. At times the group has mixed things up by using The Chronological Study Bible from Thomas Nelson, which reorganizes the material in the Bible in (mostly) chronological order and adds supplemental reading about Bible history, culture, etc. (Although we use this study Bible because we already have it, we cannot recommend it. There are better resources available.)
For 2024 RTB is using Search the Scriptures: A Three-Year Daily Devotional Guide to the Whole Bible (affectionately termed here “STS” for short) as a guide. Feel free to join in using our current reading schedule.
