I Corinthians 11:1-16

I think it’s more appropriate for you ladies to post on this item instead of me. However, I will add one item. In the time we have been married Carol has “followed” me and my work to Texas, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, and Slovakia. Was her “following” me some “authority” on my part? No, just simply what was best for our family…

Slava Bohu!

  1. I appreciate my Bible note, especially at v. 3, in the explanation of submission. It is mutual commitment and cooperation. Jesus submitted to the Father’s will though they were one and equal. He was committed and acted in cooperation, the Father was also committed to Him, mutual. I suspect that this was true for you and Carol. And that finding a faculty position was more rare.

  2. Why did Paul discuss in such detail men and women covering their heads in worship? I have come to the conclusion that God’s concern is your presence at communal worship not how you are dressed.

    1. At that time it was an issue in Corinth – wealthy “women of the world” showing off their gorgeous hairdo’s. Paul didn’t want Corinthian female believers to offend their less-fortunate believers. (At least that’s my take on it. As you rightly note, it’s much less an issue today…!)
